Hot Spanish Squid Soup

- 1 lb Squid; cleaned, cut into- 1-inch pieces
- 1 tb Olive oil
- 2 cl Garlic; minced
- pepper to taste
- 1/2 c Tomato sauce or puree
- 1 c Water
- In a saucepan, heat oil and garlic, but do not let garlic brown or burn.
- Add squid, pepper, tomato sauce and water.
- Simmer mixture for 1 hour, adding more black pepper towards the end of cooking time.
