Crockpot Turkey

- 6 pounds turkey
- salt
- pepper
- 2 cups onions
- 1 tablespoon butter -- melted
- If frozen, defrost turkey.
- Season inside and out with salt and pepper.
- Lightly pack cavities with onions.
- Close cavities and fasten with skewers and string.
- Place on trivet in removable liner.
- Brush with melted butter.
- Place in liner.
- Cover and cook on auto for 7 hours, low for 9-11 hours or high for 5 hours.
